Apple Butter Bread

1 1/2cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1⁄3 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1¼ cups apple butter
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9-inch loaf pan. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cloves in a bowl. In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Add egg and apple butter; continue beating until smooth. Mix in flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in walnuts and mix by hand just until incorporated. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing Apple Butter Bread to cool completely on a wire rack.
