Holiday Baked Ham -Super easy ham recipe for Christmas or Thanksgiving

Holiday Baked Ham

1 half ham with bone
2-liter bottle cola
2-liter bottle ginger ale
½ cup brown sugar
Maple syrup
Maraschino cherries and pineapple chunks, for garnish

Place ham in a stockpot. Pour cola and ginger ale onto ham;
add water to cover, if needed. Add brown sugar. Cook
on low, covered, 2 hours. Turn off heat and allow to cool
enough to transfer ham to a large baking pan. Save 3 to 4
cups liquid. Pour saved juice into bottom of pan and bake
at 325° for 2 hours. Mix a small amount of maple syrup
with juice and baste entire ham. Cook until golden brown.
Garnish Holiday Baked Ham with cherries and pineapple chunks held on with
toothpicks for last ½ hour of cooking.
