Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Pull French bread apart in small pieces; place in big bowl.

Ingredients

  • 2 (15-inch) loaves French bread
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 (12-ounce) cans evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Pull French bread apart in small pieces; place in big bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients; mix well with hands.
  3. Pour into casserole dish; bake 1½ hours.
  4. Yields 10 servings.
